VALLEY INTERIOR SYSTEMS NAMED FINALIST IN THE FAMILY BUSINESS
OF THE DECADE AWARDS

Cincinnati, OH - September 15, 2009 – Twelve leading Cincinnati Businesses were recognized as Finalists in the University of Cincinnati’s Goering Center for Family and Private Business Family Business of the Decade Awards on August 25, 2009. The twelve finalists were Busken Bakery, Flottman Co., Gardner Publications, Inc., Graeter's, JTM Food Group, The Long-Stanton Group, National Band & Tag, Rumpke Consolidated Co., SpringDot, Steinhauser Inc., Valley Interior Systems and the Verdin Co.

“The committee that selected the finalists for the Family Business of the Decade had quite a challenge narrowing the pool of over 350 Nominees down to the final 12,” said Larry Gripp, Executive Director of the Goering Center. “The judges looked at many factors, including their positive family-business linkage, their business success, their multiple family member and/or multiple generation involvement, their contributions to community and industry, and their innovative business practices, products or strategies.”

The ceremony, which took place at Cincinnati’s Music Hall, featured a presentation by inspirational speaker Matthew Kelley, who encouraged the audience to look at the Decade Finalists for inspiration for growing and maintaining their own businesses.

VALLEY AWARDED CORE DRYWALL AND CEILING CONTRACT FOR GREAT AMERICAN TOWER AT QUEEN CITY SQUARE PROJECT

Valley was awarded the core drywall and ceiling contract for the Great American Tower at Queen City Square in Cincinnati Ohio. Great American Tower at Queen City Square will be the tallest building in Cincinnati boasting over 800,000 sq. ft. providing the finest office environments for the city’s premier tenants. The project is headed by Turner Construction and is set to open in early 2011. Valley is proud to be part of such a landmark project for the city of Cincinnati.

VALLEY COMPLETES NEW HOLLYWOOD CASINO PROJECT IN ANTICIPATION OF GRAND OPENING

Valley completed the drywall, metal framing, and acoustical ceiling package on the new Hollywood Resort and Casino located in Lawrenceburg Indiana. Hollywood Resort and Casino is a new casino located on the Ohio River replacing the former Argosy Casino boat. The new casino has over 150,000 sq. ft. of gaming space that can hold up to 10,000 guests and includes a new sports bar and restaurant. The general contractor on the project was Messer Construction.

IN THE UNITED STATES BY INC. MAGAZINE

Valley Interior Systems was voted in the top 5000 growing private companies in the United States by Inc. Magazine for 2008. The article was published in the September 2008 addition. Inc. Magazine is a nationally published magazine with a business and entrapenural focus. Chief Operations Officer John Strawser states, “It is an honor to be mentioned with other growth oriented private companies in the United States.”
